Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) is a lightweight, rigid, plastic material produced in a range of densities between 13 kg/m3 and 30 kg/m3. EPS Polystyrene is widely used across a number of industries, such as building and construction, insulation, events and much more. Expanded polystyrene sheets and blocks are economical and effective for landscaping and planter box fillers, concrete formwork, voids and block-outs, pipe insulation, protective packaging, floatation and buoyancy applications, and stage sets and product displays and signs.

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) provides insulation from temperature and noise and is used as a base for rendered panels. It is suitable for thermally insulating walls, roof, as well as sub-floors. In the building and construction sector, it is a versatile and well-proven product globally, with The Foam Company's geofoam blocks, used as void fillers for civil engineering applications such as bridges and roads. Description

The Foam Company supplies and delivers expanded polystyrene sheets and blocks (EPS) Australia-wide, directly from our local warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. For SA orders, we supply EPS polystyrene across the Adelaide metro area and regional SA, dispatched directly from our local distribution centres in Adelaide. Expanded polystyrene is a multi-purpose material that is used for many applications, such as insulation, packaging, displays, and so much more. For cut to size polystyrene, such as custom sheets, blocks, profiles, or complex shapes, please contact us directly. Please note, usually a 1-3mm tolerance is standard with EPS as it is a compressible foam, however we do try to cut as accurately as possible.

Foam sheeting to insulate a carport

Prompt service and delivery. Only issue was a bit of minor damage to the outside sheets. Cover sheets, I am sure, would solve the problem.

Wouldn't purchase from them again.

I ordered 55 sheets before Christmas and they processed my order and told me it was going to be 5-7 business days for delivery. 5 days later I emailed for an update and I was told it'll be Jan 10th because they closed for the holidays. This delayed my build and I feel I was mislead. To add to the dissatisfaction, the delivery guy showed up yesterday when I wasn't home and told my wife to unload his truck. This is the worst customer service I've experience in quite some time. Good product, horrible customer service.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate the dialogue as it gives us a chance to rectify problems with orders.

Our lead times ex our Adelaide factory is 2-5 days. However, as the order was placed on the 15th, our office and most of our factory operations were closed for the Christmas break. This was very clearly displayed on our website (on the front home page banner, and the top blue bar on every page of the website) - however whilst being on skeleton staff, we still managed to complete your order on the 20th and as I recall we sent you an email to give you a chance to collect the order.

In regards to deliveries, we scheduled the delivery to your suitable delivery date as per your request. All deliveries in the foam industry require someone to be onsite if the goods are large, as they have to be handled by at least 2 people - the same way if you had opted for collection of your order. If there was any rude altercation/customer service between your wife, you and the driver, we do sincerely apologise on behalf of the transport company - however as you can appreciate this is totally out of our control as it is a third party transport company. If you have any complaints, and know the name of the driver, please do let us know and we will contact the transport company.

We pride ourselves on having the best customer service in Australia, not only in the foam industry, but as a whole. I believe in this instance however, miscommunication was the major factor.

EPS 50mm Medium density Sheets

EPS looks good and feels denser than the average EPS/foam I've come across. I haven't the experience to judge its quality but it appears to be as described and appears to be a very good quality EPS. Ordering process was online, clear, and easy. Communication with Sales staff was excellent. Order took a little longer than initially promised. Some small chipping on edges on arrival/delivery but no significant damage. Perhaps some slight improvement in the handling process and/or delivery process would negate chipping and/or minor damage to product. Ordered online on 22nd Nov [?] delivered on 4 Dec. Overall a very good experience.
